Personal summary
I am a graduate of UCLA with a degree in English and a 3.7 GPA. While attending UCLA and Brandeis University, I taught ESL and excel in helping everyone, including nonnative English speakers, realize the essays of their dreams. While at Brandeis, I was the Co-Editor in Chief of the school’s humor magazine. For three seasons I was a Writer’s Assistant on the Hallmark television show Chesapeake Shores. Currently, I am an editing intern for Word Up Kids, where I transcribe, edit, and sometimes complete creative writing from young adults in addiction and mental health facilities. Working these jobs has enabled me to be a stickler for grammar and punctuation (ask how I feel about the Oxford comma), and nothing escapes my eye. Additionally, from all of these experiences I am adept at writing not only in my voice, but in the voices of others. I am intimately familiar with penning everything from short stories to research papers. At UCLA I took classes in a wide range of subjects, from Southeast Asian Literature to a study of Broadway musicals to the Canterbury Tales. I also have an extensive familiarity and passion for the works of Shakespeare. Education: College/University in Liberal arts and humanities
