Personal summary

I predominantly develop software via the Microsoft stack, for Web, Windows and Services, including interfacing with non-MS systems. The DotNet Framework has been my core programming paradigm since version 2.0 through to the latest DotNetCore with MS SQL Server as the back end database for about 20 years since SQL 2000 (including CLR). My skills complement include setup and configuration of IIS, SQL Server, Mail Servers, VPNs, VMs, Firewalls, Endpoint Security products, and more. Experienced with legacy web platforms and their upgrades (Classic ASP/VBS), professional Winforms development (DotNet) with multi-threaded & transactional DALs, custom console apps (usually for ETL, maintenance and/or automation), and specialty apps to simplify client experience. Experienced with Web APIs (for BlazorWASM, JS, and desktop apps consumption) and utilize DotNet7 (as of Dec 2022) for all new projects and conversions from legacy code utilizing various design patterns/standards. My ORM of choice is Dapper, but am familiar with EF & EFCore. Experienced with commercial & open source controls, where appropriate, and developed custom plug-ins for BVCommerce (DNFW), NopCommerce (DotNet Core/MVC), most notably, ZaxPay, a PCI-compliant, payment system for Intuit's merchant gateway. Other types of work include: Google Apps Scripting, Javascript and T-SQL tutoring, programming PBX & security systems, and writing software for tracking cryptocurrency. My experience includes a prior background in information technology systems as a systems engineer with a thorough working knowledge of MS servers & networking for the enterprise. Prior to work in IT/IS, I was a chemical analyst (spectroscopy & chromatography) and LIMS programmer for a local laboratory in Louisville, KY. This complements my IT/IS skills via experience in complex data systems, chain of custody, and reporting for regulatory agencies. As a business entrepreneur, I'm involved in all phases of planning and execution of projects incorporating extensibility into action plans. I apply pertinent solutions to clients' problems and ensure they are positively satisfied with the results.
